October 17, 2013 - Edison Restaurant Dinner, Entertainment, Silent Auction & More FUNdraiser To Support the Fort Myers Kiwanis Club Science Fair Project
Kiwanis members dedicate more than 6 million
volunteer hours and invest more than US$100 million annually in projects
that strengthen communities and serve children.
In a typical year, Kiwanis clubs worldwide
organize more than 150,000 service projects locally and globally that
include college sponsorships, Read Around the World, and community
clean-ups, and involve partners such as Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts,
Special Olympics, and Children's Miracle Network.
Kiwanis offers a family of service leadership programs for children and young adults.
The Fort Myers Kiwanis Club was the first service
club in southwest Florida, established on April 28th, 1922. Our first and
foremost focus is helping Young Children in the Fort Myers area. Our club
has many rich traditions and much to offer prospective members who want to
get involved in helping children in our community. Our Wednesday weekly
club meetings provide excellent networking opportunities, social
interaction and fellowship. We have great programs and speakers to
compliment our fine lunch. If you are looking for an opportunity to get
involved and help young children, please come to a meeting or contact us.
You will be glad once you visit us.
We meet every Wednesday at Noon in
Fort Myer's historic Kiwanis Hall, 1634 Woodford Avenue (the corner
of Woodford and Second Street). A delicious lunch is available and each
week we have another interestiing guest speaker.
